New Silver Bawarchi, Lingampally

his is our 11th year of serving Haleem. Before starting this restaurant I used to work and during that time I always used to go to Old City to have haleem during Ramzan. After my retirement, I started this centre. This was the first haleem centre in Lingampally.

Earlier, people had to go to Old City to eat Haleem, which is very far; however, after the centre opened, people showed their support. The process and ingredients of haleem are same everywhere but what makes the haleem special and flavourful is the quality of ingredients and meat used in it, which we have always kept our first priority and customers have loved it," said Mohd Jamsheed, the owner of New Silver Bawarchi.

When asked about this claim, Sriram, a customer, says: "I stay nearby and have known this place for a very long time. The owner uncle is very sweet and is like a family friend to us. Every year we wait for the hotel to open haleem centre in Ramzan and my whole family loves their haleem."

Adds Mohd Alibaba, another customer: "I used to stay near Old City, after which I shifted to Lingampally and started going to Old City – travelling so far just – to eat haleem. That is when I found out this restaurant. The taste here was same as Old City haleem and easy to digest."

Green Bawarchi Restaurant, Hydernagar

"We believe in serving good quality Haleem to our customers and we have been keeping the taste and flavour consistent for the past nine years. Every year our customers have a lot of expectations and we are trying our best not to disappoint them," said Mohd Asif, the owner Green Bawarchi Restaurant. When asked, Varma, a customer, says, "I have been visiting the place for the past four years.

This is our favourite hangout place and my family also loves to come here." Says Upendra, another customer: "My friend was the one who told me about this restaurant. The haleem here is very rich in taste, and I am glad I came here. This is by far the best haleem I have tasted."

Nizam's Haleem, Chandanagar

"I saw the haleem concept in Madina Hotel way back in 1993 and thought of starting this in Chandanagar. After a year's hard work in 1994 we started serving chicken haleem to see the response of the locals.

The people's response was overwhelming and they insisted that we start serving mutton Haleem, too. Our popularity has kept growing, and we have opened our branches in Miyapur," said Mohd Nizamuddin, the owner. Mohd Nawazuddin, a regular customer, says, "My father used to bring me here to have haleem along with my brothers.

After that it has been a tradition in our family to come here during Ramzan month to have haleem. Now I come with my friends and family every Ramzan month to have haleem." Shaikh Azim Ali, a foodie and a regular customer, shares: "This place has been my all-time favourite haleem centre where I can have healthy and lip-smacking haleem.

I got to know about this place through my uncle who used to bring haleem from here during Ramzan. The taste of the haleem is still the same as it was years back – that's the best part about their haleem."

Green Bawarchi Restaurant, Madinaguda

"The Green Bawarchi haleem legacy is still running. We are into our 10th year. Like every year, our customers have shown immense love for our chicken and mutton haleem. We have used pure and organic ingredients to make our Haleem, most of which we get them from nearby trusted retail partners.

We like the concept of Hans & Haleem where customers are getting a chance to rate our Haleem, based on our taste and hospitality and other factors. We also will get a brief idea of what exactly our customers want from us," said Makhdul Ahmed, the owner of Green Bawarchi.

Rohit, a nearby resident, vouches for the tasty dish: "I was never a fond of haleem until I tasted it here. Now I wait eagerly for Ramzan to taste haleem it has now been my favourite dish." Pramod who has recently shifted to Hyderabad shares his first time experience of tasting Haleem.

"I never heard of haleem and what this was all about. I always thought Hyderabad is famous for biryani but in Ramzan people prefer haleem to biryani. I loved the taste and blend of spices they put in, as it is a very unique dish which I have never tasted before. I will come again with my family to eat haleem here."

Bawarchi Mughal Restaurant, Lingampally X Roads

"We are into our 9th year and so far the response has been amazing. The people have showed their overwhelming response to our haleem. We grind our own wheat for Haleem. Rest of the ingredients are bought from our trusted retailers who we have been in touch with for past several years.

The quality has always been a priority for us and that is what makes our haleem special and different from others," said Mohd Fakruuddin, the proud owner of Bawarchi Mughal Restaurant. Sagar, a regular visitor, shares: "The haleem which they serve here has a homely taste and feel which very few haleem centres have. I always like to eat haleem here because of their unique taste and the homely feeling in their haleem.

I have recommended this place to all of my known friends and family and everyone has loved it I believe we should always appreciate good things." Mohd Zeeshaan, another customer, agrees: "This place has a very different vibe in Ramzan.

You get to see people coming here all night, having haleem and biryani and what not, and having their fun time with their friends and family. The best part is that the majority crowd who come here are Hindus, breaking all the stereotypes and sending a message of equality."
