Hyderabad: Pragati Vidyaniketan High School (PVHS) from Hyderabad has bagged 7th place in "Micro Innovation Awards" contest organised by NISA (National Independent Schools Alliance, India). Around 500 schools all over India participated in the contest.

After two levels of evaluation, the top one hundred schools are qualified for awards. Among them 56 schools from Telangana, AP, Karnataka, Tamil Nnadu, and Maharastra are given away awards at a ceremony held at National Institute for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME) Training center in Yousufguda on Wednesday.

A total of 98 schools from Telangana participated in the contest among them 18 schools are qualified. Valmiki Vidyalayam from Karimnagar secured 9th Place while Vignan School from Peddapally got 17th place.

Sridevasena, Director of School Education, Telangana, and Dr Kulbhushan Sharma, National President of NISA were chief guests for the awards ceremony. NISA vice presidents Madhusudhan, from Telangana, Tulasi Vishnu Prasad from AP, Martin Kennedy from Chennai, Dr Susheel Gupta, Yadagiri Shekar Rao, State President, TRSMA were other dignitaries present.
