Hyderabad: TRS leaders on Monday lodged a complaint with the State Election Commission (SEC), demanding action against Raj News channel alleging that wrong and fabricated news was being telecast deliberately against the State government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

The TRS leaders led by MLC M Sreenivas Reddy met the SEC C Parthasarathi on Monday and gave a representation. They alleged that the Raj News was indulging in a deliberate biased campaign against TRS party among the voters of GHMC by continuously broadcasting rumours, false and concocted stories with the solve intention of portraying TRS party as negative party, though the facts were otherwise.

The party leaders alleged that the partisan campaign was being conducted to do favour to BJP. They alleged that both Raj News and BJP violated the model code of conduct which prohibits campaign after 5 pm on November 29.

The party listed out some of the objectionable captions like- 'Chetakani Mukhya Mantri Neeku Dammu unte Manifesto tho raa,' 'Manakoddu ee farm house mukhya mantri, madhyam tagi car nadapadam pramad, madhyam taagi rashtram nadapdam marintha pramadam.'

The party also lodged complaint with the cybercrime demanding initiation of action against unkown offenders for morphing pictures and creating fake videos of KCR and circulating the same in social media by defaming his image and reputation.
