First-time voters get inked, hoping for better Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The youngest first-time voters cast their votes with better facilities and basic amenities in their mind. The youngsters of Hyderabad headed towards polling station on Tuesday to exercise their franchise hopes that their vote might work as a game-changer to achieve better Hyderabad.

Youngsters say that they have cast their vote for the development, higher education, basic facilities and for a better live hood in the greater Hyderabad but not keeping the politicians or the political parties in the head.

My vote to solve basic amenities!

Mohammed Arif(19) cast his vote in Somajiguda for the first time in his life says, " I was very excited to cast my vote for the first time and it is my responsibility and I fulfilled it and I will be voting in every election. I expect hassle-free transportation for which we need standard roads, whoever wins the race, I request them to focus on development."

My vote for honest leaders!

Expressing faith in his choice Anup Kashyup, a second year Inter student, says, "Each vote matters and I have selected the right person to serve our society with good governance and I believe I have cast my vote for the development of Hyderabad. I want a leader who is anti-corrupt and I want to proudly take all the government documents like license, caste certificate, property certificate and others without bribing anyone."

My support for young netas

"I always wanted to support young and independent leaders," says one youngster. "Independent leader's manifesto was practical and clear instead of all fake promises, leaders of independent nominations are strong. However, I have gone through articles in the news and checked out a manifesto of parties to take a decision and I have voted for game-changers," said Jayanth Mudiraj, a student of Wesley Degree College, Secunderabad.

My vote for edu, development

Another first-time voter, Sai Nath from Siddartha Degree College said that he was lucky that he got an opportunity to select his corporator, if not he would have to wait for four more years. "Before stepping out to vote, I discussed with my family about the leaders in the ray from my area and also analysed background of contestants and selected one from all. I hope government cares for education and employment of every individual in GHMC limits and also pushes development, " he added.

My vote to resolve key issues!

"Key concerns of Hyderabad are clear, safe roads, good facilities, resolving issues on time and development for betterment. This is my first vote and it's a memory for my life time. I just felt like a responsible citizen while casting my precious vote and I also captured the beautiful moment of taking part in the democratic process," said KalyanTeja, St Joseph Degree College.
