Indian Institute of Management Vishakhapatnam Director calls on EFLU VC

Hyderabad: Prof M Chandrasekhar, Director, Indian Institute of Management-Vishakhapatnam (IIM-V), called on Prof E Suresh Kumar, Vice-chancellor, the English and Foreign Languages University here on Wednesday.

Prof Suresh Kumar and Prof. Chandrasekhar discussed the possibility of academic collaboration between the EFL University and the IIM-V. After finalising the agreement, the EFL University will offer part-time, short-term, and diploma courses of proficiency in English and Foreign Languages to students of MBA studying at the IIM-V, and the IIMV, in turn, will offer short-term courses in management to students of the EFLU. They also discussed the opportunities of blending academic and scholarly ties with the students and faculty members.

Prof Suresh Kumar explained to the Director, IIM-V about the expertise of the EFL University in English Language Teaching (ELT), English Language Education (ELE), teacher training, and various proficiency courses offered by the University. In principle it has been agreed to enter into an MoU. The signing of a formal MoU will be done soon, according to a press release here on Wednesday.
