Indiramma homes to be allocated without political bias: Ponguleti
Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has said eligible poor people will receive Indiramma homes irrespective of their political affiliation.
He made the remarks after laying the foundation stone for Indiramma Towers at Pocharam in the Medchal constituency. The government aims to build one lakh homes in the first phase, with the tendering process for the towers completed in 23 constituencies.
In Medchal, 480 beneficiaries have been selected for the first phase. Flats will be allotted through a public draw, and recipients will receive rights to a share of the land as well as their flat. Registration will be free.
The government aims to hand over homes to the first group of beneficiaries by the upcoming Bathukamma festival, the minister said.
