Saidabad: The Consul General of the Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iraq, Ghazi Amer Al Topy at Hyderabad, en route to a meeting with Osmania University made a surprise stop over at The Telangana Minorities Residential School at Saidabad.

The Consul General was accompanied by his translator for the day, Syed Mohd Siddiq Quadri, and the Director of Telangana Chamber of Trade & Industries Promotion, Abul Fateh Syed Bandagi Badshah Quadri.

Syed Mujeebuddin, the Principal, and staff of the school said they were honoured to have the Consul General amidst them. They took him around the premises, informed him on the functioning and systems. They also felicitated him. The Consul General making his remarks in the visitors book expressed his appreciation for the good work being carried out in Telangana State under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his Cabinet Colleagues through the requisite government structure.

Ghazi Amer Al Topy admired the building, infrastructure and maintenance of the facilities. The unassuming yet adept translation of Siddiq Quadri made the entire interaction a pleasant experience. Bandagi Badshah Quadri, a mentor of this school building, thanked 'His Excellency' for his time, keen observation and kind words.

A further additional bonus was at hand when the Consul General after his meet at Osmania University, on his return journey, found time for a brief visit to Thumbay New Life Hospital at Chaderghat. He took the opportunity to thank Dr Syed Murtuza Asharaf for his earlier services to medical visitors from Iraq and tending to them with all care and compassion.
