Jagga Reddy pitching AP advocate Venkateshwarlu for 4,500 km padayatra
Sangareddy: Telangana PCC working president T Jagga Reddy on Thursday congratulated Andhra Pradesh High Court advocate Venkateshwarlu, who is undertaking a 4,500 km padayatra, wishing for Rahul Gandhi to become Prime Minister. He welcomed the yatra in Sangareddy and walked along with him.
Reddy said:“At every step of the padayatra, people are expressing their desire for Rahul Gandhi to become the PM; it is remarkable that Venkateshwarlu is walking from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, explaining to citizens the sacrifices made by Rahul’s family for the nation; if people are to live happily and prosperously, making Rahul the PM is our goal”.
“He already walked 1,590 km across four States and met thousands of people. By the time he reaches Kashmir, he will meet lakhs. Once the padayatra is completed, I will personally take Venkateshwarlu to meet Rahul,” Jagga Reddy said.
The padayatra from Ongole reached the district headquarters. Reddy welcomed and expressed solidarity. Speaking at the event, he said Rahul’s desire to become PM is the opinion of ordinary citizens across the country; this sentiment is clearly reflected in the padayatra.
Venkateshwarlu has been meeting ordinary people at hotels, roadside tea stalls, fields, industries and other places, gathering their views. Reddy said Venkateshwarlu met nearly 30,000 and shared his experiences. People are expressing the opinion that Rahul should become PM.
The padayatra will cover a total of about 4,500 km; during this journey,Venkateshwarlu is expected to meet more than two lakh people and gather their opinions, Reddy explained.
He added that Venkateshwarlu is explaining the padayatras undertaken by Rahul for people; hopes Rahul would ensure happiness and welfare for people of India.
