Banjara students of JNTU-H on Wednesday met State Girijan Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod at her residence in Hyderabad and greeted her with a bouquet on being appointed as a member of the Cabinet.
JNTU: Banjara students of JNTU-H on Wednesday met State Girijan Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod at her residence in Hyderabad and greeted her with a bouquet on being appointed as a member of the Cabinet.
They brought their problems to her notice, with a plea to solve them. The students sought the minister's intervention in allotting a VC's post to ST in the State when VCs are appointed, a commission for development of STs, timely release of scholarships to ST students and increasing the scholarship amounts.
The students later said the minister responded positively to their pleas. Among those who met Rathod were Lakavath Bhanu, Prakash Naik, Ramavath Mohan Krishna, Abhinash, Bhanoth Vamsi, Naresh, Kiran.
