Hyderabad: Every year, a million tourists from all over India visit Mysuru for Dusshera festival. The Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, aiming to attract a sizable number of tourists from Hyderabad and Telangana, organised a B2B road show here. Hotels, resort owners and service providers including 15 travel agents from Karnataka and 120 trade partners from Hyderabad participated in it.

Kumar Pushkar, Managing Director - Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) said, "The department has introduced new package tours to fit the specific needs of tourists which were designed taking into consideration the requirements of the tourists and KSTDC would help plan the entire itinerary providing a seamless tour experience. Services offered in the package include transport, accommodation and sightseeing. We are also offering online booking facilities on our site www.kstdc.co".

Rohit Hangal, director, Sphere Travelmedia and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, said, "Eight flights have been introduced to Mysuru and for Hyderabadis who opt for other mode of travel too it is just an overnight journey. Karnataka has something for everyone from jungle resorts to archaeological sites, adventure travellers and eco-friendly resorts."
