The Khairatabad Maha Ganapathi has reached the waters for immersion. The 'Panchamukha Sankata Hara Maha Ganapathi' was immersed near Crane No. 4 at Tank Bund in Hyderabad. Special prayers were offered to the deity before the immersion took place. Devotees flocked in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the Lord. In anticipation of the heavy crowds, the police made extensive security arrangements. The entire area turned into a sea of devotees, with the route towards the Secretariat (South-East side) packed with people.
Meanwhile, the immersion festivities are proceeding with great fervor at Upper Tank Bund. Idols from across the twin cities are arriving in large numbers. The immersion process is being carried out using 12 cranes. To ensure safety, the police have established robust surveillance using 58 CCTV cameras monitored from the police control room. Heavy police security is deployed at Upper Tank Bund to ensure the immersion concludes peacefully. Each crane is being supervised by a Sub-Inspector (SI) and five police personnel. Additionally, 25 crime teams and 10 'SHE Teams' are on duty across the immersion zones. Police reported that 479 idols were immersed between 5:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
