Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao took to social media to congratulate the students of St Francis College on Thursday.
Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao took to social media to congratulate the students of St Francis College on Thursday.
KTR tweeted, "My compliments to the girls of St Francis College who protested and made sure their college backed off. Young girls asserting their fundamental rights vociferously bodes well for our society & nation. #GirlPower".
On last Tuesday, the students boycotted and staged protest before the college, demanding withdrawal of the new dress code recently imposed by the college.
Several students of the college expressed happiness over KTR tweet and thanked him for his support on the issue. Shradda Bharadwaj, a B Com (IPP) second year student of the college, expressed happiness over the tweet and thanked KTR for the tweet.
