Hyderabad: Government Whip Adi Srinivas launched a sharp attack on BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday, alleging that the opposition leader was anxious about Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s upcoming visit to Sircilla.
Srinivas stated that the Congress government would expose the previous administration’s failures, holding KT Rama Rao accountable for leaving local weavers with Rs 300 crore in unpaid dues and failing to establish a yarn depot in Sircilla, alongside broken promises regarding Sircilla district and the Vemulawada Rajanna temple.
Defending the current administration’s record, Srinivas highlighted that Congress had provided substantial work to local weavers by issuing orders for 6.96 crore metres of saree and school-uniform fabric, including 4.29 crore metres awarded this year.
He announced that Rs 1,000 crore had been secured for development projects across Rajanna Sircilla district, alongside plans to set up a Young India Integrated School and a Telangana Public School in Sircilla. Srinivas contrasted the state’s healthy finances at its formation with the massive debt inherited by the Congress government, while emphasizing ongoing welfare initiatives and expressing confidence in continued public support.
