Hyderabad: Welcoming Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy planned visit to Sircilla, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday demanded that the government release a white paper disclosing complete details of 8000 acres of land, including mandal, village, survey numbers, land extent, and names of involved individuals. The BRS leader stated that nearly three years after assuming office, the Congress government failed to fulfil its promises.
He challenged the Chief Minister’s assertion that 8000 acres of government land were misappropriated in Sircilla and 2400 acres recovered, adding that if allegations cannot be substantiated, Revanth Reddy must tender an apology to local residents.
Highlighting the textile sector, KTR stated that the previous KCR administration provided continuous employment to Sircilla weavers through Bathukamma sarees, school uniforms, KCR Kits, and festival gift orders.
He accused the ruling government of halting these orders and reducing employment opportunities for weavers. He demanded the immediate clearance of pending Rs 60 crore dues, restoration of the 10 per cent yarn subsidy, and revival of the Rs 5 lakh Weaver Insurance scheme.
Furthermore, he urged the operationalisation of the Apparel Park and the 88 acre Weaving Park, requesting clear timelines for allotting sheds, bringing new industries, and creating local jobs.
Addressing agricultural issues, the BRS leader demanded prompt disbursement of pending Rythu Bharosa dues, implementation of the promised Rs 15,000 per acre financial assistance, completion of the Rs 2 lakh farm loan waiver, and reinstatement of Rythu Bima. He also sought definite timelines for completing key irrigation works extending from Malkapet to Upper Manair.
Finally, KTR requested a comprehensive white paper outlining all development works, expenditure, pending projects, and new initiatives undertaken by the Congress administration in Sircilla, urging the Chief Minister to address public grievances and announce firm implementation dates for every promised welfare scheme.
