Lal Darwaza Bonalu fete commences
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner M Dana Kishore and Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar launched the Lal Darwaza Bonalu celebrations at Sri Narasimhavahini Mahankali Temple on Friday.
Lal Darwaza: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner M Dana Kishore and Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar launched the Lal Darwaza Bonalu celebrations at Sri Narasimhavahini Mahankali Temple on Friday.
The temple trustees warmly welcomed Dana Kishore and Anjani Kumar with the traditional music and dance at the inauguration of Lal Darwaza Bonalu. Later, they performed a special puja. Special puja was performed in the temple after the flag hoisting in the premises of the temple.
On this occasion, GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore said that the Bonalu festival would be held at various temples in Hyderabad and preparations were being arranged with the cost of Rs 25 crore. Commissioner said that he had instructed the GHMC officials to repair the roads, footpaths and take the measures to smooth flow of Bonalu. He said that all arrangements were in place and assured devotees a hassle-free darshanam during the Bonalu festival.
