Hyderabad: JubileeHills MLA Naveen Yadav on Wednesday alleged that during the previous BRS government’s regime, fake pattas were created for government lands in Edula Nagulapalli village of Ramchandrapuram mandal in Sangareddy district and that around 150 acres were subsequently transferred to various individuals, including film actor Jr NTR.
Participating in a short discussion on the Section 22-A lands issue in the Legislative Assembly, Yadav demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the alleged irregularities and action against those found guilty.
Yadav alleged that during the previous government’s tenure, land grabbers tampered with records pertaining to government lands that were under court-ordered stay orders and subsequently sold the lands to others.
He also accused the opposition of attempting to tarnish the image of the Congress government over the 22-A lands issue. Yadav asserted that the Congress party was not one that usurped land but one that worked to distribute land among the poor and landless.
Highlighting the Congress government’s social welfare initiatives, Yadav said the party had introduced several reforms aimed at transforming the lives of poor families. He stated that distributing land to landless families had provided lakhs of households not only with land but also with a sense of security and a better future.
