Hakimpet: Air Commodore KV Surendran Nair took over as the Air Officer Commanding of Air Force Station, Hakimpet from Air Commodore RK Oberoi here on Monday. The personnel of Air Force Station presented an impressive parade to mark the handing/taking over ceremony.

The Air Commodore is an alumnus of National Defence Academy and was commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on June 11, 1988. He is a qualified flying instructor and has more than 3200 hours of flying experience on several fighter and training aircraft.

During his illustrious career, Air Commodore KV Surendran Nair has held several staff and command assignments that include command of a fighter squadron as well as flying station.
