New Assembly Central Hall named after former Speaker Sripada Rao
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has named the newly set-up Central Hall of the Legislative Assembly after former Speaker late Duddilla Sripada Rao, father of Legislative Affairs Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. The Central Hall has been set up along the lines of the Parliament Central Hall.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the Sri Duddilla Sripada Rao Central Hall at the Telangana Legislature on Monday at 9 am, on the first day of the Assembly’s monsoon session.
The inauguration programme will be held in the presence of Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Legislative Affairs Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy are also scheduled to attend the programme.
Telangana Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Dr Banda Prakash, Council Leader of Opposition Sirikonda Madhusudana Chary and Legislative Assembly Leader of Opposition K Chandrasekhar Rao are among those invited to the event. Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, Special Chief Secretary of the Transport, Roads and Buildings Department Vikas Raj, Legislative Council Secretary Dr V Narasimha Charyulu and Legislative Assembly Secretary Rendla Thirupathi will also participate.
The naming of the Central Hall is intended to commemorate the contributions of Duddilla Sripada Rao, who served as Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The hall will serve as an important venue for legislative and official programmes.
