They were speaking at a press conference organized at their office in Vidyanagar on Wednesday.

Speaking to media, state secretary of New Democracy Sadhineni Venkateshwar Rao appealed the state government to consider issuing pattas to the tribal farmers who have been cultivating 'podu' lands since ages. He condemned the attacks on tribal farmers who were resisting the grabbing of their lands by the forest officials under the guise of Haritha Haram programme. R

emembering the poll promises made by KCR to hand over pattas to podu farmers during the last election, he said that it was deplorable that instead of giving pattas to farmers, they were being attacked by the government. He termed the representatives belonging to TRS party attacking forest officials as drama. He demanded the state government to conduct Haritha Haram program in the lands encroached by the ruling party leaders instead. He urged the state government not to create tension among tribal people.
