Hyderabad: Can someone create AI agents with no code and no laptop? Answering in the affirmative, Sridhar Jammalamadaka, Founder, Future Proof India, who designed and built the WhatsApp agent builder, says "Every role in IT is getting its AI-powered version, and the professionals, who build with AI will lead it."

To prove this, 38 IT professionals built 57 live AI agents on WhatsApp in 35 minutes at Future Proof India's Leverage Authority Retreat (LAR) Supernova 2026 held recently in the city. Architects, developers, and managers went from idea to a working AI agent on their phones. The typical agent went live 43 seconds after they sent its design.

Sridhar said that IT professionals from across the country built live, working AI agents using nothing but WhatsApp at LAR Supernova 2026, organised by Future Proof India. In the Day 2 morning session alone, the 38 participants built 57 AI agents in about 35 minutes, with each one live in less than three minutes.

The two-day retreat ran on the theme "Build, Demonstrate and Create". It brought together 50 architects, developers, managers and senior leaders from banking, insurance, IT services, cloud, data and healthcare, who travelled from Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai and other cities,” he added. The main focus was moving from idea to live agent in three steps. First, participants identified use cases in their own jobs worth automating with AI. Then, each designed an AI agent for a real problem from their work. Then they built and sent the design to a WhatsApp chatbot built by Future Proof India, which turned it into a live, working AI agent with its own web link.

The key highlight of the programme was that many of the 38 were middle managers designing an AI agent for the first time.

Among the agents built were a Loan Pre-Screener for banking, which checks an applicant's details against the bank's lending rules and flags incomplete or ineligible applications before the file reaches a credit officer, and a Payroll Variance Explainer for HR, which explains in plain English why an employee's salary has changed from last month (arrears, leave, tax changes, new joiners), so errors are caught before salaries are paid, he said

"Building an AI agent used to take weeks. At this retreat, our members discovered where AI fits in their work, designed an agent and had it live within minutes, on WhatsApp," said Sridhar Jammalamadaka,

He said the mission was to future-proof one million IT professionals and upskill one million Indian IT professionals in agentic AI. "AI will reshape every IT role. Some jobs will disappear, and others will be reinvented. My mission is to help professionals master agentic AI and move from AI anxiety to AI prosperity," he said.

Dr J. A. Chowdary, Founding Director of STPI and former MD of NVIDIA India, said in conversation with Sridhar that when he first promoted Hyderabad abroad, people asked whether it was in Pakistan.

On AI, Dr Chowdary said new jobs will go to professionals who combine domain knowledge with AI. "AI is only a screwdriver, a tool. You should know how to use that tool, but you should know how to solve the problem," he said. "India should become the AI use case capital of the world."

He told experienced professionals that their maturity and domain knowledge are an edge younger, AI-native workers cannot match, and urged every participant to mentor one young person from a rural area for one hour a week.

The retreat also featured sessions by industry experts, including Gopi Krishna Nuti, AI Architect at Autodesk. Sridhar said the next retreat, Leverage Authority Retreat – Sunrise 2027, themed "A new day for IT", will be held in Bengaluru on October 23 and 24, 2027. With 150 seats, three times this year's retreat, it will bring IT professionals from across India to design, build and launch AI agents for their own work.

"In 2026, AI arrived like a supernova for the IT industry. In 2027, that light becomes a new day," added Sridhar.
