Plea to officially conduct Beerappa Kalyanotsavam
Local Kuruma Sangham and Beerappa Temple Committee representatives on Tuesday demanded official celebration of Beerappa Swamy Kalyanotsavasm by the State government.
Uppal: Local Kuruma Sangham and Beerappa Temple Committee representatives on Tuesday demanded official celebration of Beerappa Swamy Kalyanotsavasm by the State government.
They told press persons that the Sangham and the committee would organise the celebrations from May 16 to 23 on a grand scale. The events to be conducted would include 'Oggu Kathalu', 'Dolu Vinyasalu', 'Bonala Samarpana', 'Ganga Theppotsavam'.
Ministers Ch Malla Reddy, Srinivas Yadav, Deputy Speaker T Padma Rao Goud and MLA B Subash Reddy would attend. About two lakh devotees are expected to attend the event, they stated.
While appealing to the government to conduct the celebrations, they wanted justice done to the backward Golla Kuruma community. Among those present were G Mallesh, N Venkatesh, C Venkatesh, Beerappa, B Krishna, K Hanumanth, Raju, Nagesh, Lingaswamy.
