Police impose traffic diversions amid Congress party's Maha Dharna in Hyderabad

Police have imposed traffic restrictions in view of the 'Maha Dharna' public meeting organized by the Congress party at the Indira Park Dharna Chowk in Hyderabad Consequently, orders have been issued to divert vehicles onto alternative routes.

As part of the protest, Congress cadres will undertake a march from Dharna Chowk to the old Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund, passing through Indira Park Cross Roads, RK Math, and the Kattamaisamma slip road. Police stated that traffic congestion is likely in the vicinity of Dharna Chowk, Indira Park, RTC Cross Roads, Bashirbagh, Liberty, the Secretariat, the BJR statue, and Tank Bund.

In light of this, the city traffic department has arranged alternative routes for motorists. Vehicles traveling from Nallakunta towards Kattamaisamma via the Steel Bridge will be diverted towards VST at Azamabad Cross Roads. Vehicles heading from RTC Cross Roads towards Indira Park will be diverted at Ashok Nagar Cross Roads towards Himayatnagar Street No. 8 or via Bakaram Bridge and Kawadiguda. Vehicles moving from Karbala Maidan towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at the Sailing Club towards Kawadiguda, Gandhinagar T-Junction, DBR Mills, and Lower Tank Bund.

Vehicles coming from the BJR statue towards the old Ambedkar statue and Tank Bund will be diverted at Liberty T-junction towards Himayatnagar, while vehicles coming from Himayatnagar towards the Ambedkar statue or the Secretariat will be diverted towards Bashirbagh Crossroads and the Traffic Police Complex. Vehicles traveling from Iqbal Minar towards Liberty will be diverted via the old Ambedkar Junction towards Upper Tank Bund.
