Hyderabad: Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced that the public would soon receive good news on the resolution of land-related issues across the State, in line with the assurance given by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in the Legislative Assembly.
So far, GO 118, pertaining to colony issues, and GO 76, concerning the regularisation of house sites in the Singareni region, had been issued.
Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, along with Ministers-- Ponnam Prabhakar and Azharuddin and other public representatives, handed over regularisation certificates to beneficiaries from 44 colonies in the LB Nagar constituency at the Saroornagar Indoor Stadium.
Speaking on the occasion, Ponguleti said plans were being formulated to transform the region into a leading area.
He said Bhudhaar cards, on the lines of Aadhaar cards, would be issued to address farmers’ land-related issues in rural areas and assured that public grievances would also be resolved.
He said public service remained the government’s top priority and recalled that the government had recently given a detailed explanation in the Assembly regarding land issues.
Following the Chief Minister’s directions, the government has taken up 12 specific issues, and problems affecting 44 of the 64 colonies in the Saroornagar constituency have been addressed.
The Minister said the assurance given by Revanth Reddy, during his tenure as Malkajgiri MP, to implement GO 118 for residents of the LB Nagar constituency had now been fulfilled.
Ponguleti said the government had instructed District Collectors to resolve the issues affecting the 44 colonies without political considerations. Despite restrictive orders issued by the previous government, the government would facilitate regularisation of the houses within a month, he said, adding that no houses would be demolished.
He said the issues faced by more residents in Medchal and Ranga Reddy districts would also be addressed within a month under GO 118.
Referring to colonies that have long been classified under Section 22A, which restricts registration of certain properties, Ponguleti said the government would soon announce a solution.
He said the 22A provision had been in force since the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh and could be reviewed. He alleged that some people were exploiting the issue to spread misinformation.
The Minister said government orders addressing the issue were expected within a week. Officials were directed to resolve registration-related problems and assist those who had not yet submitted applications.
He said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy would soon make an announcement on the matter.
Ponguleti said GO 76, relating to the regularisation of house sites in the Singareni region, would be implemented and that a three-member committee had been constituted for the purpose.
He further said land-related issues in the region would be fully resolved within the next 45 days.
LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy, Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy, LB Nagar Congress in-charge Madhu Yashki Goud and others participated in the programme.
