Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has said that the “Gandhi Parivar stands for sacrifice, while the Sangh Parivar is dividing India based on religion, caste, region and language”. Calling upon people to unite behind the Gandhi Parivar to protect India, democracy, secularism and freedom, the Chief Minister said it was a fight for India between the two Parivars.
The Chief Minister received the Aryadan Muhammed Memorial Award in Kerala on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that whenever Kerala elected the Congress, the party was also in power at the Centre. In 1991, K Karunakaran was the Chief Minister of Kerala and PV Narasimha Rao became the Prime Minister.
“In 1996, when Kerala elected the Communists, we lost power in Delhi too. In 2001, after AK Antony became Chief Minister, Congress came to power at the Centre in 2004,” he said.
“Pinarayi Vijayan has been in power in Kerala, and Narendra Modi became Prime Minister in 2014 and continues till 2026. Now we see a new breeze, a new wind, in 2026 when Congress wins in Kerala again. That political breeze is blowing from Kerala and is becoming a storm,” Revanth Reddy said.
Coming down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, the Chief Minister said, “Vote ki chori, party ki chori, symbol ki chori, funds ki chori and they are stealing the future of youth. They are stealing the foundation of democracy and India – integrity of vote.”
Revanth Reddy reiterated that his only remaining dream was to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister of India. “There will be a Congress-led government in Delhi and Rahul will be PM. We have to stand with Rahul to take this political tsunami to every house, every street, every village and city and every State of India. Winds of change are blowing. Every part of India is listening to the goonj of Rahul Gandhi’s words of hope. Let us stand behind Rahul ji till we totally save India from communal forces,” he added.
The Chief Minister recalled that Aryadan Muhammed was the strength of the Congress party in Nilambur and Kerala. “His entire life, Aryadan ji fought for freedom, democracy, secularism and the Constitution,” he said.
