Secunderabad: As part of his novel initiative, Deputy Speaker T Padma Rao Goud visited houses beneficiaries of various government schemes and handed over the cheques personally, on the consecutive second day, on Tuesday.

Padma Rao Goud visited 55 beneficiaries on Tuesday and handed them the related cheques related to various schemes such as Kalyan Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak and CMRF. Several TRS leaders accompanied him during his tour of the constituency.

He handed over CMRF cheques to 14 beneficiaries and Kalyan Lakshmi cheques to 40 beneficiaries, worth Rs 60 lakh, in Sitaphalmandi and Boudhanagar divisions.

Speaking to media during his tour of the constituency, Padma Rao Goud said that Secunderabad constituency tops in the distribution of CMRF cheques in the state and expressed his special thanks to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for providing financial assistance to the needy.

He said that the state governments is taking necessary measures reduce the role of intermediaries and appealed people not to go to intermediaries for utilizing Kalyan Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes.

He asked people to call phone number 040-2750448 if any intermediary demands money from them in this regard. The schemes introduced by TRS government have immensely benefitted SC, ST, minority and BC sections, he said. Efforts are being made to ensure full utilization of various government schemes in the constituency. Corporator Samala Hema, MRO Sharmila, local TRS leaders and others were present.
