Telangana govt. gives nod for implementation of two DAs for employees

The Telangana government has approved the implementation of two Dearness Allowance (DA) installments for employees and assured a decision on the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) this month following discussions with employee unions.

Discussions between employee unions and the Telangana government have concluded. The government agreed to release two installments of Dearness Allowance (DA) and also consented to release another installment after four months. Furthermore, it assured that a decision regarding the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) would be taken this month. Employee unions urged the government to ensure the PRC report is submitted without extending the commission's tenure and requested that the PRC be announced within the deadline. Union leaders expressed satisfaction with the government's decision on DA and PRC matters. Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, senior officials, and leaders of the Employees' Joint Action Committee (JAC) participated in the meeting.
Speaking at the Secretariat's media point after the meeting, Telangana Employees' JAC Chairman Lachi Reddy stated that the Joint Staff Committee meeting was held under the leadership of the Chief Secretary. He mentioned that an 'Udyoga Sankalpa Sabha' (Employees' Resolve Meeting) had been organized on the 6th of this month to highlight key demands from employees. He noted that a total of 68 demands were brought to the government's attention and that the government responded positively, outlining a path to resolve all issues.
He thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, and Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju for taking the initiative regarding their demands. Lachi Reddy stated that the government agreed to DA installments of 3.64% and 2.74% and assured that a decision on the PRC would be taken as soon as the committee's report is received.
