Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced special bus services for devotees visiting the famous Khairtabad Maha Ganesh and Balapur Ganesh pandals during the Ganesh celebrations. The special services will operate from September 14 to 24.

The special buses will provide connectivity through major bus stations including Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS), said TGSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Y Nagi Reddy.

According to the TGSRTC, the special buses will originate from JBS and operate via Patny, Bata, Boat Club, Tank Bund, IMAX, Khairatabad, Lakdikapul, Gandhi Bhavan, Afzalgunj, CBS/MGBS, Women’s College, J Garden, Government Press, IS Sadan, Pisal Banda, Midhani Township, Balapur X Road and Shivaji Chowk before reaching the Balapur Ganesh pandal. The first service from JBS will commence at 6 am, with buses operating continuously at intervals of around 40 to 50 minutes depending on the passenger rush. Services from JBS will continue until 9.55 pm. For devotees returning from Balapur, buses will begin at 7.55 am and continue until 11.50 pm.

Nagi Reddy said the corporation had completed advance arrangements to ensure devotees and other passengers face no inconvenience during the Ganesh festival. The additional services are aimed at facilitating the movement of large crowds expected to visit the two prominent Ganesh pandals during the festival.

The TGSRTC management urged devotees to utilise the special services and opt for public transport to ensure smoother movement.
