A security guard working at Kalamandir store in Kukatpally has made away with Rs 9 lakh cash.
A security guard working at Kalamandir store in Kukatpally has made away with Rs 9 lakh cash. The theft occurred on Sunday midnight and came to fore on Monday morning when the staff learned about the amount kept in the store was missing.
The guard, identified as Moni Das stole the money and rushed to his house in Shamshiguda and fled away with his family. On the complaint of the store owner, the Kukatpally police registered a case and launched an investigation. CCTV footage at the store is being verified by the police to nab the accused. More details about the incident are awaited.
Theft at ATM centre in Shadnagar:
In another theft case, unidentified people tried to broke into two ATM centres here in Shadnagar on Sunday night. The police on patrolling noticed two ATMs in damaged condition. Shadnagar CI Sridhar Kumar registered a case and launched efforts to nab the burglars.
