Hyderabad: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has issued a firm warning to Dandiya and Garba organisers across Telangana, demanding that only Hindus be permitted to attend these cultural events and that Hindu bouncers be deployed for security operations.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, VHP Central Temple Management Committee member M Ramaraju, Bajrang Dal state convener K Srikanth, Bhagyalakshmi Vibhag co-convener Akhil, and social media head Abhishek addressed the media regarding event safety during Durga Navaratri.

Ramaraju highlighted that while Goddess Durga is worshipped with great grandeur and devotion throughout the festival, individuals belonging to other faiths allegedly infiltrate Dandiya celebrations by altering details on identification documents and modifying their attire to blend seamlessly into the crowd.

Adding to these assertions, Srikanth alleged that individuals falsify official records to pose as Hindus, participating in celebrations to deceive women under the guise of relationships while promoting anti-social activities.

He questioned the participation of non-Hindus in religious events, stating that ideological doctrines often restrict engagement with other faiths, and urged organisers to remain vigilant. The VHP and Bajrang Dal leaders directed event management teams to conduct strict verification of attendee identity cards and carefully monitor attire and behavioral patterns throughout the celebrations.

Furthermore, the leaders instructed organisers to notify the local police or organizational activists immediately if any non-Hindu attendees are identified on the premises. Emphasizing that security personnel and staff engaged for these events must belong strictly to the Hindu community, the leaders warned that any failure to enforce these directives would result in direct disruptions of the programmes by activists. The organization maintained that these verification measures are essential to ensure security and preserve traditional sanctity during public festival gatherings.
