Actress and politician Vijayashanti resigned to Congress party and will join in BJP tomorrow in the presence of BJP national president JP Nadda around 11 am in Delhi.
Actress and politician Vijayashanti resigned to Congress party and will join in BJP tomorrow in the presence of BJP national president JP Nadda around 11 am in Delhi.
Vijayashanti will leave for Delhi today evening and meet Amit Shah. The actress who ventured into politics through BJP is returning to the party after two decades and later joined TRS. She then switched loyalties to Congress in 2014 before the formation of Telangana.
In the past few months, the former MP was not active in Congress party's activities and programmes in the state.
On Saturday, BJP state president Bandi Sanjay confirmed Vijayashanti's joining the saffron party. Sanjay will also leave for Delhi today to meet JP Nadda and Amit Shah. He will be discussing the result of GHMC election and also to thank the union ministers Prakash Javadekar, Smriti Irani and other leaders for campaigning in Telangana for GHMC election.
It is known that BJP won 48 seats in GHMC election giving a tough competition to the ruling TRS. Meanwhile, Congress only managed to get two seats.
