Hyderabad: Reinforcing the fight against rabies through a united public health initiative, VINS Bioproducts Ltd. brought together DCP Ch. Sirisha, Shadnagar, Future City, Hyderabad, senior office bearers from the national medical fraternity, and leading doctors from across India to mark World Rabies Day. The event featured the handover of anti-rabies vaccines for 200 city dogs by Siddarth Daga, Managing Director, VINS Bioproducts, to DCP Ch. Sirisha, alongside a Human Chain for Rabies Awareness, highlighting the collective commitment towards preventing one of the world's deadliest yet entirely preventable diseases.

The initiative witnessed the participation of Dr. Krishna Kumar Singh, Vice President, and Dr. Hemant Kumar Gohil, Secretary General, along with zonal representatives from across the country, reflecting a nationwide call for strengthening awareness, vaccination, and timely post-exposure treatment.

Addressing the gathering, Ch. Sirisha, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shadnagar Zone said “The fight against rabies extends beyond healthcare and requires active participation from civic authorities, communities, and responsible pet owners. She noted that preventive initiatives such as mass vaccination and public awareness campaigns play an important role in creating safer and healthier cities. She also thanked Siddarth Daga, MD, VINS Bio for handing over complete dosage of vaccines for 200 strays of the city.”

The symbolic handover of anti-rabies vaccines for city dogs, reinforced the critical role of canine vaccination in breaking the chain of rabies transmission and supporting India's goal of eliminating rabies deaths.
