Karimnagar: BJP State spokesperson, Karimnagar Deputy Mayor and former Mayor Yadagiri Sunil Rao inspected the ongoing cement concrete road and drainage works in the city on Monday. During the inspection, he directed officials and contractors to maintain strict quality standards and warned against negligence in execution.
Sunil Rao said the roads and drainage systems should be constructed with durable materials and designed to serve residents for at least 15 to 20 years. He stressed the importance of maintaining proper slopes in drainage channels to ensure smooth water flow and prevent stagnation. He also instructed officials to take measures for the quick discharge of rainwater and minimise inconvenience to residents during the works. Sunil Rao directed the concerned agencies to complete the projects before Dasara, stating that all completed works should conform to prescribed standards and provide long-term benefits to the locality.
