Khammam: The Congress government is running the state administration with “hatred and destructive policies” and resorting to diversionary politics to conceal its failures, said former minister and senior BRS leader Puvvada Ajay Kumar in a statement here on Wednesday. Instead of addressing people’s problems and fulfilling the promises made during the elections, the Congress government was attempting to divert public attention by raising silly political issues, he said.

He claimed that there was growing dissatisfaction among people with the functioning of the Congress government and alleged that the ruling party was using “diversion politics” to cover up the resentment against its administration.

The former minister said the government should answer questions concerning public issues, implementation of electoral promises and its alleged failures instead of attempting to divert people’s attention.

“However, many diversionary tactics the Congress government adopts, it cannot mislead the people,” Ajay Kumar stressed. He asserted that people would continue to question the government’s performance and expose what he described as its failures.

The BRS leader also alleged that the ruling party was attempting to prevent a public debate on its performance during the first 1,000 days in office by creating political controversies.

Ajay Kumar said the government should focus on addressing people’s concerns and implementing the assurances given to them rather than engaging in what he termed divisive and destructive politics.
