Singareni CMD directs officials to step up coal production
Kothagudem: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Dr Buddhaprakash Jyoti has directed officials to take measures to increase coal production at the Naini coal block in Odisha to meet the company’s production targets.
During a review meeting with directors and concerned General Managers at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad on Saturday, the CMD stressed the need to accelerate coal production and transportation from the Naini mine, particularly in view of the anticipated impact of El Niño on the state’s power requirements. He directed officials to ensure the transportation of at least 20,000 tonnes of coal per day from the Naini block to Telangana to meet the growing fuel requirements of power generation plants. Dr Jyoti also stressed the need to ensure smooth and uninterrupted coal transportation by addressing operational bottlenecks and strengthening coordination among the concerned departments.
