Khammam: BRS Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra on Wednesday urged the Centre to take precautionary measures to ensure uninterrupted supplies of petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in view of the prevailing uncertainty in West Asia.
Participating in a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas, chaired by Sunil Dattatreya Tatkare at the Parliament Annexe, Ravichandra stressed the need for advance planning to prevent disruptions in the supply of petrol, diesel and cooking gas.
With the festivals of Vijayadashami and Diwali approaching, the MP called for ensuring adequate availability of LPG and prompt delivery services to consumers to avoid shortages during the festive season. He also urged officials to take measures to prevent wastage and ensure the efficient management of resources. Emphasising public safety, he called for advance planning to prevent fire accidents.
