Kurnool: The Kurnool District Roller Skating Association will organize district-level roller skating competitions on October 3, following directives from the State Roller Skating Association.
The events aim to showcase young talent and select representatives for the upcoming state-level championship.
According to a joint statement issued by Additional Secretary A Puneeth Chowdary and CEO P Sunil Kumar, the competitions encompass both inline and quad skating formats across road race and rink race categories.
Road races are scheduled on Khana Khazana Road at B Camp, while rink races will take place at Indus valley street. Skaters between the ages of five and 20 years are eligible to participate.
Winners of these district trials will earn the opportunity to represent Kurnool district at the prestigious 38th State-level Roller Skating Championships, which are set to be held in Kakinada starting October 31.
Association representatives have called upon skating enthusiasts from across the district to register and display their skills.
Organizers emphasized that the tournament serves as an exceptional platform for young athletes to gain valuable competitive exposure, hone their athletic abilities, and advance to higher levels of competition.
