Srisailam: Upholding age-old temple customs, the Srisailam Devasthanam presented traditional silk clothes to Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy at Kanipakam on Monday during the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams.
The customary offering is a longstanding tradition observed annually by the Srisailam temple during major festivals at Kanipakam.
The grand Brahmotsavams at Kanipakam commenced on September 14 and are scheduled to conclude on October 4.
Srisailam Devasthanam Trust Board Chairman Potugunta Ramesh Naidu, board members G Lakshmeswari and Jillela Sridevi, along with special invitees Vemireddy Kotareddy, Vaigandla Venkateswarlu, and Akula Srinivasulu, participated in the sacred presentation alongside priests and Vedic scholars.
Puthalapattu MLA Dr K Muralimohan, Kanipakam Devasthanam Trust Board Chairman V Surendra Babu, Executive Officer K Penchala Kishore, and local board members warmly received the visiting delegation.
Following the presentation of the silk garments, the Srisailam chairman, board members, and officials were honored with Vedic blessings by the temple priesthood. The annual ritual reflects the enduring adherence to traditional religious practices and mutual cultural reverence shared between major pilgrimage centers in the region.
