Yennam’s initiative resolves Christianpally housing issue
Mahabubnagar: Government Whip and MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy said the welfare of the poor was the primary objective of the people’s government. He distributed legal ownership documents to 310 beneficiaries of double-bedroom houses from Christianpally and Adarsh Nagar colonies, along with District Collector Khushboo Gupta, in Mahabubnagar on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Yennam said a long-pending issue involving Survey No. 523 had been resolved after addressing legal and administrative complications. Although the houses had been constructed and allotted earlier, many families faced difficulties due to the lack of proper ownership documents, including complications in transferring properties to their legal heirs.
The MLA announced that Rs 2 crore would be spent on developing Adarsh Nagar Colony, including improving basic infrastructure and providing essential facilities. He also highlighted the Rs 603-crore underground drainage project being implemented in the city to improve sanitation and prevent health problems caused by sewage.
Gupta said the long-pending double-bedroom housing issue in Christianpally, which had remained unresolved for nearly nine to ten years, was settled with the special initiative of the MLA.
Mayor G Mamatha, Deputy Mayor Marepally Surender Reddy, MUDA Chairman Lakshman Yadav, and others were present.
