150 kg of B’luru-bound ganja seized
Kodad (Suryapet): The Kodad town police seized 150 kg of cannabis on the outskirts of Suryapet districtbeing transported illegally.
According to police, the cannabis was packed into 62 packets and being transported from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh to Bengaluru in Karnataka. Acting on credible information, police conducted vehicle checks near Durgapuram Cross Road on National Highway 65 and intercepted the gang near Kamma Kakatiya Function Hall.
During the operation, police also seized a car and two mobile phones.
Two accused were arrested, while three others managed to escape from the spot.Police have launched a search operation to trace and apprehend the absconding suspects.
