Tributes paid to martyrs at Praja Palana Dinostavam
Nalgonda: PrajaPalana Dinotsavam was celebrated across the erstwhile Nalgonda, with official programmes held in Yadadri-Bhongiri, Suryapet, and Nalgonda districts.
State Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy and Ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy attended the celebrations in Bhongir, Suryapet and Nalgonda, respectively, and hoisted the National Flag on the occasion.
Addressing the gatherings, the leaders recalled sacrifices made by Telangana martyrs during the first and second phases of the statehood movement. They said Telangana’s history was marked by struggle and sacrifice and paid tributes to those who laid down their lives for the cause of a separate State.
The celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from officials, public representatives and people. Cultural performances and colourful dances presented by schoolchildren were among the major attractions and drew appreciation from the gathering.
