Heavy rain in Nellore district left roads knee-deep in water in Gandhi Bomma, Trunk Road, Subedarpeta and Wahabpeta. Floodwater mixed with sewage and spilled onto the streets, making travel difficult for motorists.
The downpour also disrupted travel to polling stations as Parishad elections were under way. In Kovur, voters were seen carrying umbrellas as they made their way to polling booths through the rain.
