Minister Narayana launches Rs 7.59 crore works in Nellore

Nellore: Municipal Administration and Urban Development (M&U) Minister Dr Ponguru Narayana has stated that Nellore city will witness remarkable development in the coming days, backed by aggressive infrastructure pushes and strategic urban planning.
On Monday, the Minister launched and laid foundation stones for various civic works totaling Rs 7.59 crores across the city.
He performed Bhoomi Puja for CC road works worth Rs 39 lakh at Pedda Masjid Centre in Ranganayakulapeta, central lighting and CC roads worth Rs 1.70 crores at Janardhan Reddy Colony, and a major Rs 4 crore beautification project at Venkateswara Puram. Additionally, he inaugurated a newly constructed park costing Rs 1.50 crores in Gandhi Girijana Colony.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Narayana emphasized that top priority is being given to constructing quality roads, central lighting, dividers, greenery, parks, fountains, and sports stadiums.
Instructing officials to complete all end-to-end road works within a strict two-month period, he also announced a massive Rs 240 crore allocation for comprehensive city development.
Highlighting youth and sports infrastructure, he revealed that a modern stadium and sports complex will be established at Nellore Polytechnic College, with foundation stone laying scheduled for October 2.
State Waqf Board Chairman Abdul Aziz, Mayor Devarakonda Sujatha, Deputy Mayor Poluboyina Roopkumar Yadav, Additional Commissioner Himabindu, Corporation SE Johnny, EE Chandraiah, former Municipal Chairperson Tallapaka Anuradha, and former ZPTC member Vijetha Reddy were present.
