Staged reverse shoulder replacement for an old woman
Nellore: Orthopedic surgeon Dr Madanmohan Reddy announced the successful completion of staged reverse shoulder replacements on a 73-year-old woman suffering from chronic shoulder pain.
The left shoulder was operated on February 27, 2025, and the right shoulder on September 2, 2026, following her recovery. CT scan-based 3D pre-operative planning was used to evaluate her glenoid and humerus bones. Post-surgery, the patient has regained full mobility and daily independence. The team included Dr Karthik Reddy Pammi, Dr Praveen J, and Anesthesiologist Dr Srinivas, with Apollo Unit Head Visweswar Reddy praising the milestone.
