Nellore: Nellore Municipal Corporation Commissioner YO Nandan has called for collective public cooperation to make Nellore a poster-free city. He stated that pasting commercial advertisements on walls, electric poles, and government buildings mars urban beauty and hygiene.
Commissioner Nandan urged traders to abandon paper posters and adopt eco-friendly, modern advertising methods such as social media, digital display boards, websites, and LED screens.
He highlighted that the municipal corporation is forced to deploy up to 10 workers across three daily shifts to remove unauthorized posters from public walls, imposing a continuous administrative and labor burden on civic staff.
