NUDA builds state-of-the-art selfie hub in Nellore

Nellore: Nellore Urban Development Authority (NUDA) Chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy has announced that a unique selfie point is being developed as the premier facility of its kind in Andhra Pradesh, aimed at fostering patriotism, regional pride, and awareness of the nation’s freedom fighters.

Inspecting ongoing construction works opposite the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose statue near the Atmakur Bus Stand center in Nellore city on Tuesday, the Chairman explained that the initiative is designed to present the inspiring histories of India’s freedom fighters and distinguished local personalities on a single unified platform. Srinivasulu Reddy noted that the project seeks to instill deep national consciousness among the younger generation, observing that many youth remain unaware of the immense sacrifices made by historical leaders.

Under the current plan, photographs and historical details of national martyrs will be displayed on one side, while prominent figures and luminaries from Nellore district will be featured on the other. Additionally, a dedicated image honoring Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), who brought global acclaim to Telugu culture, will be installed at the site. The Chairman stated that the selfie point is being constructed with the robust support of Minister Ponguru Narayana. Highlighting key infrastructure additions, he noted that a towering 105-foot national flagpole has already been erected at the venue, with the formal inauguration scheduled to take place shortly.
