AAP expands national executive, adds 20 state conveners
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has further expanded its national organisational structure by bringing the party’s state conveners from 20 states into its National Executive as permanent invitee members. The move is aimed at strengthening coordination between the party’s central leadership and state units while giving a fresh push to organisational expansion and grassroots mobilisation across the country.
The party has made all 20 state conveners permanent invitees to the National Executive and directed them to focus on strengthening and expanding the organisation in their respective states. The decision is being seen as an effort to give greater representation to state-level leadership in the party’s national organisational framework and improve coordination on the ground.
The state conveners included in the National Executive are Delhi’s Saurabh Bharadwaj, Punjab’s Aman Arora, Goa’s Valmiki Naik, Haryana’s Sushil Gupta, Gujarat’s Isudan Gadhvi, Uttar Pradesh’s Sabhajeet Singh and Jammu and Kashmir’s Mehraj Malik.
The list also includes Karnataka’s Mukhyamantri Chandru, Kerala’s Vinod Wilson Mathew, Odisha’s Nishikant Mahapatra, Tamil Nadu’s Vasigaran, Telangana’s Hema, Mizoram’s Andrew Lalremkima, Arunachal Pradesh’s Yamra Taya and Nagaland’s Asukeho.
Bihar’s Rakesh Kumar, Andhra Pradesh’s Ramesh Sira, Assam’s Dr Bhoben Choudhury, Uttarakhand’s Uma Gaur Sisodia, Rajasthan’s Kirti Pathak and Andaman and Nicobar’s Dr Arun K. Mallik have also been given permanent invitee status in the National Executive.
The latest appointments come after AAP earlier inducted 23 members into its National Executive and co-opted five additional members. With the 20 state conveners now joining as permanent invitees, the party has widened the role of its state-level organisational leadership within its national structure.
AAP has tasked the state conveners with continuing to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and expanding its organisational footprint. The conveners are expected to focus on building the organisation, increasing its reach and establishing a stronger network of workers and leaders in their respective states.
