Ongole: Solar panels and other electronic equipment at Pace Engineering College in Vallur on the outskirts of Ongole city were severely damaged due to strong winds and heavy rain triggered by Cyclone Murasu on Tuesday.
The estimated loss is between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, according to college correspondent Sridhar. Speaking to the media, he said that the solar panels suffered extensive damage as gusty winds swept through the campus at high speed. Several other electronic items were also damaged in the storm.
