MLA Bandaru Satyanandarao participates in Varuna Yagam

Kothapeta MLA Bandaru Satyanandarao participating in the Varuna Yagam held at Mandapalli
Rajamahendravaram: MLA Bandaru Satyanandarao participated in Varuna Yagam and Sahasra Ghatabhishekam performed at the Mandeswara Swamy temple in Mandapalli village.
Speaking on the occasion, Satyanandarao said the rituals were performed seeking the blessings of Varuna, the deity associated with rain, at a time when several parts of the country were facing drought-like conditions.
He said performing Varuna Yagam during periods of inadequate rainfall had been a traditional practice since ancient times.
The MLA said the Sahasra Ghatabhishekam was also performed as part of the programme. He expressed the hope that the Varuna Yagam would be followed by abundant rainfall across the State and bring relief to farmers and people dependent on the monsoon.
