APPCB to distribute free clay Ganesha idols for Vinayaka Chavithi

Tirupati: TheAPPCB, Tirupati, will distribute free clay Ganesha idols to the public to promote eco-friendly Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations and prevent water pollution from Plaster of Paris idols.
Distribution points include Gandhi Circle in Chittoor and the TUDA office main gate in Tirupati.
APPCB Board Member N Nageshwar Raju and Environmental Engineer MBS Shankara Rao will lead the environmental awareness drive.
Officials strongly urged citizens to choose sustainable clay idols to protect water resources during traditional idol immersion ceremonies.
