Tirupati: A headof Vinayaka Chavithi, the APPCB released awareness posters and pamphlets promoting environmental protection and pollution control.
Municipal Chairman M Jayakrishna, IAS, and APPCB Regional Officer MBS Shankara Rao jointly unveiled the materials.
Officials urged the public to choose eco-friendly clay Ganesha idols over toxic Plaster of Paris and chemically painted alternatives. They also appealed to organizers to follow strict guidelines during idol immersion to safeguard water bodies from contamination. Municipal and APPCB personnel participated in the campaign launch.
